    1. What EstateClarity Is Now

EstateClarity is a static reference website. It publishes general information about estate administration and probate in Canada and the United States. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no document uploads, no payments, and no backend database.

    2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask for or receive your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, or payment details. We do not accept wills or any other documents. Nothing you read on this site is transmitted to us.

    3. Information Stored in Your Browser

Some pages let you tick off progress, such as the executor checklist and the document tracker. Those selections are saved in your own browser using local storage. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are removed if you clear your browser data.

    4. Third-Party Services

Loading this site involves a small number of third parties:

    • Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement. It sets cookies and processes your IP address on Google infrastructure.
    • Google Fonts — typefaces are requested from Google servers when a page loads.
    • ipapi.co — used on the sample visualization page to guess which province or state to show first. It receives your IP address. The result is cached in your browser and never stored by us.
    • Our hosting provider — keeps standard server request logs.

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy. We do not combine their data with anything else, because we hold nothing else.

    5. Retention

We hold no personal information, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Any data held by the third parties above is governed by their own retention practices.

    6. Children

This site is general reference material intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

    7. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.

    8. Not Legal Advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or financial advice. Estate law differs by jurisdiction and changes over time. Consult a qualified professional in your own jurisdiction before acting on anything you read here.
